Local Home Inspector becomes Member of the Certified Pre-Owned Homes Inspector Network

Gordon M. Gerrie of Certified Pre-Owned Homes Canada Inc. is pleased to announce that Bill Sutherland and Hector Dignard of Advantage Home Inspection Ltd. have recently been accepted into the Certified Pre-Owned Homes Inspector Network in Canada. As such, Bill and Hector will be able to offer the program to home sellers, therby enhancing the sale of the property.

Modeled after the Certified Pre-Owned Automobile programs that have become very popular with auto buyers, the program is designed to have a Pre-listing Inspection on the property by a qualified Inspector who is a member of the Certified Pre-Owned Homes Inspector Network, any deficiencies identified by the Inspector corrected and a Home Warranty is placed on the property for one year from closing for the benefit of the Buyer. The Home Warranty covers the structure, roof, heating and air conditioning systems, electrical, plumbing, ductwork as well as such components as central vacuum systems, door bells, garage door openers as well as appliances that remain with the house including refrigerator, stove, built-in ovens, mircorwaves and dishwashers.

Sutherland sees this as a major benefit to sellers and buyers because it will bring peace of mind to the seller and the buyer. The buyer will rest easy that their new home has been thoroughly inspected, any deficiencies corrected and the home carries a warranty for the first year of ownership which can be renewed.
